Family Photo Session

We wanted to get a picture for our Christmas cards (which are going out understandably late this year) immediately when we got home. Of course, bringing a baby into the house and having everything change so much didn't put Gianna in the most cooperative mood. Fortunately, she forgo the usual tantrum and just did things that made us crack up. We were laughing so hard by the end. The story is best told by looking at the sequence of photos:

Mommy, Daddy and Connor
Gianna wants to sit on Mommy's lap, this makes Connor mad.
Gianna gets cheesy while Connor gets a little more upset.
Still Mad (and a little squinchy).
That Baby is funny.
Connor falls asleep, but Gianna won't sit still...blurry.Gianna out in front. Funniest moment ever.Gianna's outta here.Connor and Daddy
Mommy, Daddy and Connor again...we start discussing the option of photo-shopping Gianna into the picture. So Funny!

Connor's 1st week

Well, we all survived the first week (as of 5:17 today). Of course, the first few days were a breeze since we were in the hospital. In the past week our lives have changed so much and we have experienced a lot! Gianna is adjusting so well to having a new baby (or BeeBee, as she says) here. She LOVES to hold him or sit next to him and throws a fit when her turn is over. She is constantly imitating the sounds he makes and has been so cooperative. It doesn't hurt that Daddy has been here all week too.

Here are some highlights (in photos) from Connor's first week:

Thursday night:
Gianna said "ByeBye" to Mommy's big belly and talked to Connor one more time before he arrived.Last profile shot before baby...yes, I am a ton bigger than I was with Gianna. Maybe that's because he weighed 2 pounds more than she did at birth.
Friday:
First photo, with Dr. Santana.
Gianna meets Connor (she loves to get up really close in his face to look at him).
Family picture. You can see Gianna is unhappy that her turn is over.
Saturday:
Connor and his Christmas Stocking from the hospital (I thought this was so special).
Connor at about 15 hours old, holding up his head.
Sunday:

Christmas Crafts

Gianna is old enough now to do a few simple Christmas crafts. Here she is completing some with Daddy at another Christmas party we went to:

Playgroup Christmas Party

On Saturday we had our Playgroup Christmas Party and it was amazing to see how much the kids have grown in just a year! There was a slide show of playgroup pictures going during the party and it really was a great way to see how much they have all changed.

Here is Gianna showing off her dress:

Christmas in the Park

A few of our playgroup buddies went to see Christmas in the Park last week. The kids loved looking at the trees and animated dioramas. Here are a few photos from our trip:

Annual San Francisco Trip

A few weekends ago we visited San Francisco for our annual trip to go look at Christmas decorations. The highlights were:
Looking at the tiny villages in the Hyatt:
Getting our usual Christmas picture in front of the tree (although this one won't be our christmas card this year, we're waiting for baby!)
And, playing at Yerba Buena:

Livermore Tree Lighting

We took Gianna downtown on a cold, cold northern California evening for the Livermore parade and tree lighting. We didn't take many pictures, but I wanted to share these two. She loved the parade and waved happily to all of the floats going by. She was so cute!

Here she is watching the parade:
