Christmas in San Francisco

On sunday we made our annual visit to San Francisco to look at Christmas decorations. I was so happy to share this tradition with Gianna, and she was a happy girl too.

Gianna's favorite part of the day was the Macy's/SPCA display of all of the doggies and kitties (of course!). She even got to meet a giant dog!

Here's all the 'kids'. (from left: Johnny, Justin, Jessica, Gianna, Christina, Andrew, Matt, Melissa.)

Having fun on the slide at Yerba Buena.

Enjoying the miniature city at the Hyatt.

Up Close with a christmas tree.

Happy to be eating at Tad's Famous Steaks.

Livermore Christmas Parade and tree lighting.

On Saturday night we went downtown and met our friends to watch the Livermore Christmas parade. Gianna was so good even though it went past her bedtime. We were so proud of her. She also seemed to love the parade (except for the loud motorcycles).

Gianna found a new favorite food...Peas!

Four States in Four Days!

After we got home from the wedding we took a few days to get ready for thanksgiving then headed up to Oregon to spend Thanksgiving with Justin's parents. We were also joined by Gianna's great grandpa and the Thompsons. Gianna still loves playing with Jadyn and Cole and now that she is older they like playing with her more too. It was fun to watch them together.

Thanksgiving morning (wearing the sweater her godmother brought from Peru).

Eating Thanksgiving dinner.

Calling Grandma and Grandpa C to ask how their Thanksgiving went.

Posing with Daddy out by the river.

The (long and cranky) drive home.

Stop at the Olive Pit for lunch.

Taking a pit stop to get out of the carseat in the middle of nowhere. This is how Gianna kept mommy and daddy entertained.

Yeah!

Gianna has been learning to do so many things lately, among them is clapping! Here she is happy to
be sitting at the dinner table. She can also wave, shake her head "no", dance when she hears music, and say a few words. She is growing up so fast.

The Dakota Zoo.

Before we left we decided to visit the Dakota Zoo even though it was very cold out. Boy we were glad we did! The animals were so friendly and all came right up to the fence, even a giant brown bear! This was one of the highlights of the trip.

Gift opening

The morning after the wedding we went to the gift opening and had some great socializing with the nice people we met in North Dakota (everyone is so warm and welcoming), and lunch. It was a nice way to say bye to all ofour friends, old and new, from North Dakota.
