What a beautiful day!

I just have to say how beautiful it is! The sun is out and it is the perfect temperature, Gianna and I spent so much time outside today already...I can't wait until her nap is over and we can go back outside! Oh yeah, she is really really saying "Doggy" now. Sometimes it sounds a little like Dah-Dig, but most of the time it is very clear. It is so funny. I will try my best to get it on video soon.

I'm home!

Over the past few days I have been 'helping' Kate move back to California from WI. Basically I flew out to Nebraska and met her there then we drove back taking the scenic (but still short) route. It was a lot of fun, but I really missed Gianna and Justin. I can't wait to someday share with them the beautiful sights we saw!
Here is where I've been in less than 85 hours:
Saturday morning I left San Jose for Denver at 7:20am. I stopped in Denver for about an hour then continued on to Omaha, Nebraska where I met up with Kate and we hit the road!

We stopped for dinner somewhere between Kearny, NE and the border of Colorado. We look so excited!

We gave up hopes to make it all the way to Denver our first day and stayed in a small town about 30 miles East of Denver.

Sunday morning we got up and Jetted through most of Colorado stopping in Vail to appreciate the snow (well, that was for me) and the icesicles.

We enjoyed a very beautiful Drive down to Moab, Utah. We were surrounded by amazing rock formations and scenic landscapes the entire way (I recommend this drive to everyone!).

We visited Arches National Park, ate dinner at the Moab brewery and called it an [early] night. We were both tired from staying up late the night before and knew that tomorrow would be a big day.

Monday we woke up early and went to CanyonLands National Park...photos don't do this Justice...you have to go!

Then we enjoyed another scenic drive with many rock formations to enjoy and lots of red dirt to brighten up the snow.

Our next stop (yes, still Monday) was the Grand Canyon for a view and then sunset! It was amazing...I recommend the west side of the park and you really should see it when there's snow once in your life! Plus there were no crowds!

Then we hit the road again stopping for dinner at a cute little diner to plan our route. We drove to Kingman, rested our heads for the night and finished the treck home on Tuesday, Whew! I was home in time for bath and bedtime.

What a fun trip, but I am so glad to be home!

I'm starting to make time for blogging.

Okay, so now that Gianna is napping well during the day (most of the time), I am making more time to update the blog. This is more fun than folding laundry anyway. I just changed our layout, added a 2nd birthday ticker and a counter--whoo, go me! I'm so fancy.

Congrats to Brooke and Thomas, keep them in your thoughts and prayers...they are expecting Kline Baby #2 to come along in about 8 months!

I'll do it myself, thank you!

Lately, Gianna has been a fussy eater, so we try to get her to eat anything we can (her favorites are peas, black beans, cereal, puffs, spaghetti, broccoli, water and corn...she wont eat any meat except for the occasional piece of chicken apple sausage) . Her most recent addition to the weird list of things she will eat: a bowl of cereal. Last night as I was feeding her she started to grab at the spoon, so I gave it to her. She started feeding herself like pro! What a smarty pants!

I also wanted to add this picture of Gianna from last night, she had on a cute outfit and was also wearing her very important "I Voted" sticker. She loved looking at all the people as she helped Mommy and Daddy vote, I think she had a lot of fun.

I forgot to tell you...

In the midst of the horrible cold Gianna had this week I forgot to give everyone the stats from Gianna's latest Dr.'s appointment:

Height on 1/21/08: 27 3/4"

Weight on 1/21/08: 18lbs. 7oz (down to 18lbs on 1/28/08 after a week of being sick!)

Just a year ago she was 18.5" and 6lbs. 5oz. So she didn't quite triple her weight (especially after losing the weight while being sick), but she is doing great and she walked even more this weekend.

The funniest thing happened today, when the Budweiser Clydesdale commercial where the dalmatian helps the horse train to be part of the team came on Gianna got so excited by it that she got up and walked right over to the TV, saying "da-gee, da-gee." She really had us laughing!
