Easter Eve

Here are some photos of the kids leaving carrots for the Easter Bunny.Gianna sneaks a bite of carrot.

Dying Eggs

Dying eggs was so fun this year. Gianna actually was pretty interested, and we had lots of fun colors to choose from (although I think 12 is too many)

Sebastopol Easter Egg Hunt

We headed up to the north bay for Easter weekend and started off Saturday morning with an Easter egg hunt in Sebastopol. It was really crowded, but Gianna had fun anyway and we got a picture of Connor with the Easter Bunny.

Artichoke

This may seem weird to post about, but Gianna had [whole] artichoke for the first time and loved it! We snapped a few pictures of her learning how to eat it.

Preschool Easter Party

Gianna started Preschool a few weeks ago (she goes with Justin on Wednesday nights and Connor and I on Thursday mornings). Here are some photos from her school Easter party.

All Clean!

One of Gianna's favorite times of the day is after her bath when we let her run around in her towel or robe for a little bit. Here she is posing and showing off after her bath one night.I think her expression and pose make her look like a baby model in this picture (but I might be biased).Hanging out with Connor.

Great Grammy's House

After going to Stanford, we went over to Great Grammy's house for a while. Gianna loves all of the fun things in her garden. Here she is checking out the frog and gnome.
Sitting just like Mommy--while I catch up on celebrity gossip :)

Stanford Shopping Center

We took a day trip to visit Ooda and Great Grammy and met them at Stanford Shopping Center, one of the most beautiful "malls" (if you can even call it a mall). Gianna had a great time walking around there and looking at all of the flowers and fountains, and she liked showing them to her baby too. Connor loved being out in the sunshine and watching all the kids run around. Justin and I loved the yummy lunch at the Creamery and spending such a nice day in a beautiful place with family. Here are the highlights:

Flowers at the Shopping center."Smells good, I like flowers." (Gianna has just started to make 3-5 word simple sentences like this)Mommy, Connor and Gianna.Looking at the Froggy fountain.Justin and Connor, too cool for school.Showing her baby all of the fountains.

Gianna's first bike ride.

Justin got this bike seat for his birthday last year and we just got around to finally installing it on his bike. He took Gianna for a ride at Sycamore Grove and she loved it. He said she was quiet and just loved looking around and seeing all of the birds, squirrels, and other wildlife zooming by.

LMC Easter Egg Hunt

The mom's club I am a member of had it's annual egg hunt 2 Saurdays ago. It was so fun to see all of the kids looking for eggs and to see how much they have changed in just a year. Check it out here.

I love looking at these two pictures:...and seeing how much has changes in a year: Connor is here, and so is Gianna's hair, we have said goodbye to some friends (love you Hogan family), and hello to new friends (Yeah Rocha family!). I donated my hair shortly after this picture, and it has almost grown all the way back, All of our babies have turned into kids and we are welcoming new babies to our group. And there are so many things you can't see too!

Okay, back to 2009.

Friends

Gianna and Sophia are great friends, and partially because they get to spend a lot of time together while we take them on walks and the parents trade babysitting. Here are some recent photos from such occasions.

Children's Fairyland

The last weekend in March we headed over to Children's Fairyland in Oakland.

After we arrived we started walking around a bit while we waited for our friends to get there and it all started looking very familiar. Especially this:

I feel like somewhere I have a picture of me with this fountain. Does this ring a bell mom? The more and more we walked through I realized that many of my memories of the "old" Oakland zoo before renovation are actually memories of Children's Fairyland. Especially the card maze and the above pictured fountain (but I think I had the impression that this fountain was at the Honolulu Zoo, who knows...).

Here's a photo of Justin and Connor checking out the Llama: At this point, Connor has been to the zoo several times, so he thinks nothing of these strange looking creatures :)

Gianna was so happy that this cow let her get close:
What a small cow.

And then Gianna was even more excited when her friend Sophia arrived:I promise Sophia survived this hug.

Here the girls are, playing in a little house together:
Gianna's favorite parts were the merry-go round:

And the tunnels:

What a fun day!
