Connor's 1st week

Well, we all survived the first week (as of 5:17 today). Of course, the first few days were a breeze since we were in the hospital. In the past week our lives have changed so much and we have experienced a lot! Gianna is adjusting so well to having a new baby (or BeeBee, as she says) here. She LOVES to hold him or sit next to him and throws a fit when her turn is over. She is constantly imitating the sounds he makes and has been so cooperative. It doesn't hurt that Daddy has been here all week too.

Here are some highlights (in photos) from Connor's first week:

Thursday night:
Gianna said "ByeBye" to Mommy's big belly and talked to Connor one more time before he arrived.Last profile shot before baby...yes, I am a ton bigger than I was with Gianna. Maybe that's because he weighed 2 pounds more than she did at birth.
Friday:
First photo, with Dr. Santana.
Gianna meets Connor (she loves to get up really close in his face to look at him).
Family picture. You can see Gianna is unhappy that her turn is over.
Saturday:
Connor and his Christmas Stocking from the hospital (I thought this was so special).

Christmas Crafts

Gianna is old enough now to do a few simple Christmas crafts. Here she is completing some with Daddy at another Christmas party we went to:

Playgroup Christmas Party

On Saturday we had our Playgroup Christmas Party and it was amazing to see how much the kids have grown in just a year! There was a slide show of playgroup pictures going during the party and it really was a great way to see how much they have all changed.

Here is Gianna showing off her dress:

Christmas in the Park

A few of our playgroup buddies went to see Christmas in the Park last week. The kids loved looking at the trees and animated dioramas. Here are a few photos from our trip:

Annual San Francisco Trip

A few weekends ago we visited San Francisco for our annual trip to go look at Christmas decorations. The highlights were:
Looking at the tiny villages in the Hyatt:
Getting our usual Christmas picture in front of the tree (although this one won't be our christmas card this year, we're waiting for baby!)
And, playing at Yerba Buena:

Livermore Tree Lighting

We took Gianna downtown on a cold, cold northern California evening for the Livermore parade and tree lighting. We didn't take many pictures, but I wanted to share these two. She loved the parade and waved happily to all of the floats going by. She was so cute!

Here she is watching the parade:
Sophia and Gianna dancing in the street to Christmas music after the parade.

ELMO LIVE!

Yes, it deserves all caps! Gianna and her friends Sophia and Kaylee went to go see Elmo Live in Sacramento (and they let their mommies come too).
What a fun show, it was "Elmo Makes Music" and it had a fun "Stomp"-like feel to it. The girls were absolutely captivated and the screams of "More! More!" at the end of every song were adorable.
I think everyone's favorite part was when Bert was doing a disco number and when the disco ball came down, all of the kids erupted into cheers. Gianna kept calling them, "Bubbles," it was so cute. Gianna danced so much during the show I couldn't stop cracking up. Anyway, enough talk here are some pictures:

Sophia comes over

Our friends Jenny, Steve and Sophia have been helping us out a lot lately while we get ready for the baby's arrival...so we offered to watch Sophia one night so Jenny and Steve could go out to dinner. The girls had so much fun!
Here they are captivated by Justin's reading skills:

Here they are goofing off after their bath, they are so silly!
And here's a little Karaoke!
